#QATWorldSBK: Heading with much anticipation into the season’s finale
Sandro Cortese, however, looks forward to the last race weekend of the year with mixed feelings.
This weekend, the 2019 Superbike World Championship enters the home straight. With the night race in the desert of Qatar, a long and exhausting season comes to an end, in which Sandro Cortese as rookie in this class could set some highlights, but he also had to overcome painful setbacks. The cooperation with the Italian GRT Yamaha team also comes to an end at the impressive Losail International Circuit.
#11 Sandro CORTESE (GRT Yamaha Team, Yamaha YZF R1):
"I'm really looking forward to the last race of the season. The track in Qatar has always been good for me, it suits my riding well and I really enjoy riding there. From this point of view, I will enjoy the last weekend to my utmost, even if my future is still unclear. But I'm already looking forward to whatever is coming. But from a physical point of view it will be very exhausting this weekend. It's incredibly hot, even in the evening it's still 35 degrees."
